Benefits Manager

 Job Summary

DPI Specialty Foods, a market leader in the food distribution industry, currently has an opening for an experienced Corporate Benefits Manager.

The Benefits Manager designs, plans and implements corporate benefit programs, policies, and procedures, and is responsible for ensuring these programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. Also works with carriers and brokers to negotiate coverage and renewals, and facilitates the open enrollment process.

 Requirements
  • 7-10 years experience in Employee Benefits, preferably with distribution or manufacturing companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
  • CEBS or other relevant certification required.
  • Must have a proven track record of effectively analyzing, selecting and communicating benefits programs. 
  • Extensive knowledge of ERISA regulations.
  • Excellent people skills including the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Must be organized and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork and continuous improvement skills and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills required – both written and verbal.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel.
  • Some travel required.
