Food Service/Outside Sales Representative

DPI Specialty Foods, the Northwest's Leading Specialty Food Distributor, currently seeks a Food Service Outside Sales Representative at our Seattle Office! We are looking for someone who is motivated, positive, and energetic with food knowledge, sales experience, and excellent computer skills (excel, word, and outlook).

The Food Service/Outside Sales Representative works as a team member along with the inside sales team to grow business with existing and new account bse of fine dining restaurants, hotels, corporate diners, or any other specialty food establishment. Samples, services, sells, and educates clients on DPI Products.

• Associates Degree or equivalent; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of two years experience required.
• Experience in the food industry preferred.
• Self starter, high energy.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to manage phone, computer and sales calls at the same time.
• Strong computer skills including excel and outlook, power point a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

• Sample, service, sell, and educate clients on DPI Specialty Foods Products.
• Conduct 4-6 account calls a day.
• Map out weekly schedule and include appointments and what will be presented.
• Evaluate current sales trends and identify menu needs to locate sales opportunities.
• Provide assistance to inside sales representatives and service accounts with complex needs.
• Work closely with warehouse personnel, drivers, and buyers.
• Maintain a clear map of customer's needs and follow up. Identify new opportunities for the inside team to review.
